The size question arrives at night — the answer shouldn't wait for morning

In fashion the size question lands under the collection post, usually at night. The agent gives the size-chart measurement before the item reaches the basket.

You post the collection on Instagram, and the size, fabric and fit questions start landing underneath it — most of them in the evening. Every answer already sits in the size chart and the stock list; what is missing is not the information but the person who turns it into a message. In most stores that person is the owner, answering from a personal phone after the shop has closed. When the reply slips to the next day, the customer does not lose the product. They lose interest.

The size question, dozens of times a day

  • "Do you still have this in L?"
  • "I'm 1.70m — which size should I take?"
  • "Shoulders sit wide on me. 36 or 38?"
  • "Does this fabric drape, and does it need ironing?"
  • "Is the black one in 38 in stock, and when does it ship?"
  • "How long is the return window, and do you take it if the label's been cut?"

The return freight leaves your account twice

Behind almost every returned garment there is one reason: size. Unsure which will fit, a customer orders two sizes and sends one back — or orders one, finds it wrong, and returns it. Either way the freight is yours in both directions, the item comes back to the warehouse mid-season, and it has to be checked and repacked before it can sell again.

On top of that sits the pace of the collection. Every season the size and colour breakdown is rebuilt and the stock list moves for weeks. The right answer to a measurement question is at your fingertips today; two weeks from now the same answer lives in a different chart.

When the size question closes before the basket

  • A size question that arrives at night does not wait for morning; the customer gets the answer while still under the post
  • The size-chart measurement is given before the item goes into the basket, so the size question does not move to after the purchase
  • The same fit and fabric answer is not typed out a second time
  • Several messages arriving at once do not queue behind each other
  • A question the agent cannot resolve does not disappear: the conversation comes to you and the decision stays yours

What the agent closes in fashion

  • Finds the closest products in your catalogue when a customer describes what they want in plain language
  • Relays size, colour, fabric, care and stock from the product record
  • Answers size charts and measurement equivalents from your knowledge base
  • Explains shipping times, the free-shipping threshold and return terms from your knowledge base
  • Opens a request record when a customer asks for a return; the record lands with your team and you make the decision
  • Hands the conversation to you when it cannot decide

A conversation about size and fit

Saturday, 23:40, Instagram DM.

Customer: Is the black blazer still available in a 38?

Agent: The black blazer is in stock in size 38. It's 70% viscose, lined, dry clean recommended. It's 2,490 TL.

Customer: The shoulders usually sit wide on me — should I take a 36?

Agent: This is a regular fit. Our size chart lists a 38 cm shoulder for size 36 and 40 cm for size 38. If you normally size down, the 36 would suit you better. The return window is 14 days; we accept returns with the label still on.

Customer: OK, I'll take the 36. When does it ship?

Agent: Orders placed before 16:00 ship the same day. Once your order is placed you can ask me here for the tracking number.

Nobody from the store had to type a word, and the size decision was made that night.

Where size charts and stock come from

The agent does not search by keyword but by meaning, so a description like "long, dark, flowing dress" still reaches the right product. For that to work, the products have to be in the Giizo catalogue.

The catalogue is fed by hand in the panel or with Giizo's own Excel template.

Size charts, care notes and return copy go into the knowledge base, not the product record. The split is simple: the product itself lives in the catalogue; the rules and tables about the product live in the knowledge base.

Did it ship, and where is it

Most post-sale traffic is a single question: where is my order?

If your store runs on CS-Cart, the agent pulls the order detail and the shipments from the system. It asks for a one-time code so the customer only sees their own order.

If you sell on Trendyol, you query orders, return claims and financial records through the Giizo AI Business Assistant in the panel.

The message under the collection post

In fashion retail the first contact is almost always the Instagram DM under the post. Once the conversation turns from fit to order, the customer usually moves to**WhatsApp** — in Turkey that is the first thing people open when they want to write to a shop. The same agent also works on Messenger and in the on-site chat widget, with the same catalogue and the same knowledge base.
