ACCESS CHANNEL

Facebook Messenger

An AI agent that answers Messenger messages sent to your Facebook page and replies to post comments. Connect your page in three steps, no tokens.

In most businesses the Facebook page belongs to nobody. Posts go up, ads run, and the inbox quietly fills. The "typically replies within a few days" badge under the page announces exactly that. Yet whoever writes on Messenger has already found you — they are an interested customer. The Messenger access channel puts a digital worker in charge of that inbox and of the comments under your posts.

Messages and comments on your Facebook page

  • Page messages. Every message that arrives through Messenger is answered; product, pricing, opening hours and support questions come from your knowledge base.
  • Post comments. When a new comment lands on one of your page's posts, the agent reads it and replies directly in the thread.
  • Quick replies. Preset options and button actions the customer taps are processed as part of the conversation.
  • Answers from real data. Order and shipping questions are answered with current data pulled from your connected systems.
  • Handover. Anything the agent cannot resolve is logged as a request or handed to a human agent in live support.

What it handles on Messenger and what it leaves alone

  • It is a text channel. Replies go out as text; there is no two-way spoken conversation over Messenger.
  • It reads voice notes. When a customer sends a voice recording it is transcribed automatically and answered like any other message.
  • It understands images. Photos and stickers are passed to the agent as context, and the agent can send product images with catalogue answers.
  • Only new comments trigger it. Likes, shares and post edits do not wake the agent; the one event that does is a new comment.
  • It knows its own output. Messages sent by the page itself and comments written by the agent are filtered out, so it never replies to itself.

Connecting your Facebook page

This is the shortest setup of the six channels. You click "Connect with Facebook" in the panel, tick the page you want to connect in the Facebook window, and pick that page from the list when you come back. No Facebook Developer account, no token to generate, no webhook to configure.

The only prerequisite is admin access on the Facebook Page you want to connect. For businesses running their own Meta app, the "Advanced: manual connection" path is still there.

One note: replying to post comments depends on the engagement permissions granted while connecting the page. If those permissions are missing, messaging keeps working and only comment replies are blocked — the panel tells you when this happens.

Digital workers that take over the Messenger inbox

Other access channels

Facebook Messenger is one of six access channels. The other two in the same messaging family:

  • Instagram — covers DMs, story replies and post comments.
  • WhatsApp — runs in the messaging app your customers open most often.
